Today, the Karrin for Arizona campaign proudly announces it has received multiple endorsements from former high-ranking officials, including: Gen. (Ret.) T. Michael Moseley; Gen. (Ret.) Robin Rand; Maj. Gen. (Ret.) A. Bowen Ballard; and Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Richard Newton. The retired military officers noted Karrin Taylor Robson’s longtime support of Arizona military members and veterans, as well as her steadfast advocacy for Luke Air Force Base and each of our state’s military installations.
Karrin serves as a member of the Civic Leaders Group for the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force. She has been deeply engaged in Arizona’s military and defense industry, and from 2005-2007 served as an Honorary Commander of the 56th Fighter Wing at Luke Air Force Base. Karrin currently serves as an Honorary Commander of the 161 Air Refueling Wing at Sky Harbor Airport.
Officer Statements of Support:
Gen. (Ret.) T. Michael Mosely
“Karrin Taylor Robson doesn’t just talk about supporting the troops. For decades, she has been among the strongest champions for Arizona servicemembers, veterans and their families,” said Gen. Moseley, who retired in 2008 as Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force. “Karrin also is a true friend to Luke Air Force Base and fierce advocate for the continued federal funding necessary to
maintain all of Arizona’s military installations and defend our nation. As Governor, I know Karrin will fully commit Arizona to taking care of its veterans and men and women in uniform.”
Gen. (Ret.) Robin Rand
“Those of us who’ve worn the uniform know that leadership matters and character counts,” said Gen. Rand, who in 2018 retired as Commander of Air Force Global Strike Command following 40 years of active duty. “Karrin has a deep understanding of the vital role that Luke AFB, Davis Monthan AFB, Fort Huachuca, Yuma Proving Ground and each of Arizona’s military facilities play in defending our nation and helping drive the Arizona economy. Karrin Taylor Robson has always had our back as military members, and I’m proud to have hers as she runs for Arizona Governor.”
Maj. Gen. (Ret.) A. Bowen Ballard
“Karrin has proven herself a reliable ally of Arizona veterans and military members,” said Maj. Gen. Ballard, who retired in 2003 following nearly four decades of honorable service with the U.S. Air Force. “Arizona men and women in uniform can trust in Karrin’s leadership as Governor and know she’ll do everything possible to ensure the government honors their service and lives up to its obligations.”
Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Richard Newton “Karrin has put in the time over many years to understand the unique challenges that face our servicemembers, their families, and our veterans,” said Lt. Gen. Newton, former Assistant Vice Chief of Staff for the U.S. Air Force. “At a time when the State of Arizona faces significant challenges of its own, I proudly support Karrin’s candidacy for Governor and know she is up to the task.”
