Karrin Taylor Robson, a candidate for Governor in Arizona, criticized Representative Andy Biggs for his comments against former President Donald Trump’s legislative proposal, referred to as the “big, beautiful bill.” Robson described Biggs’ remarks as “shameful, swamp behavior” in a post on the social media platform X.
“This bill is a historic tax cut for the middle class and has massive funding for ICE and immigration enforcement,” said Taylor Robson, Governor Candidate. “Yet @RepAndyBiggsAZ goes on the radio to trash President @realDonaldTrump ‘s Big Beautiful Bill again. Shameful swamp behavior.”
As of July 2, 2025, Republican leaders in the House are working to pass this significant legislative package by July 4. According to The Hill, they face opposition from within their party. Hardline conservatives, many associated with the House Freedom Caucus, are resisting due to concerns over an anticipated $750 billion increase in the federal deficit.

Representative Andy Biggs of Arizona, a former chair of the House Freedom Caucus, expressed his skepticism during a radio interview with KTAR News. He acknowledged that while some elements of the bill align with Trump’s priorities and are appealing, there are also parts he considers “amazingly bad.”
According to CNN, President Trump has characterized the “big, beautiful bill” as a historic achievement. He called it “one of the most successful pieces of legislation ever passed,” highlighting its sweeping tax cuts and potential for economic growth. Trump said that despite concerns about the deficit, the bill’s impact on growth would more than offset costs.
